To begin, during my childhood i have been raised on a farm, we had some cows, pigs, hens, cats and certainly dogs, I have always adored animals.

However, the years have past and I started to work in the technology domain. At that time, I lived in an apartment and I always had pets, a cat, an aquarium fish or birds but I always said that one day I would have again a dog,,,,with a good size.

So, couples of years ago, after I have been under stress for a long time where I work, we decided to look for a house at country, a place which would be similar to the life which I had when I was little boy. Finally, we have found it, it is a peace place.

However, two or three months before, we had started  to do some search and reading on different dogs breeds because where we live, the neighbours are very far-off, there is no light during the night and there is some wild animals which roam around. What we like, are things which have not been to much modified by human, we like everything which are authentic. Suddenly, on the internet, we have read the Boerboel’s history and felt in love immediately with this breed, those dogs are beautiful and strong with an excellent temperament, more, it seems that  this breed have not suffered  from severe genetics modifications caused my human’s hand.

I am a person who is extremely meticulous, we had specifics criterions for the dog we wanted to acquire and same things for the breeder. Finally, we have found all of this and started to exchange with that person who seemed professional and possessed beautiful dogs.

But, during the purchase’s procedures of our house, we had decided to postpone the purchase of a dog because we were too much busy…However, the same day we got the keys of our new house, september 22th 2001, the breeder with whom we had discussed two months ago sent us an email and mentioned that the two dogs of his kennel that we preferred have had a litter of 12 puppies!!! was it a coincidence? We said at that time, “this is a sign” so, we have continued the procedures to get our first Boerboel and it was the beginning of a great and wonderful adventure,,, we absolutely not regret it.

Since that time, I can tell you that with lots of reading and personal experiences, we know them a lot more. Today, we owns more than one Boerboel, we love them more than anything and every time, the process was long because we look for some specifics criterions and we prefer waiting if we are not able to find a dog which meet our standards.

Soon, we will acquire other animals like cows, pigs, hens and rabbits, that will create a nice environment with our dogs and children,,,, we want without any doubt familiarize them (our children) with technology but at the same time, to inculcate them the family, the mutual aid, the real life values and we believe that the environment we want to create will be favourable to all of that, being near the nature mean for us being near of our origin and the real life things…
